My work is an amalgam of art influences with undeniable passion for color, movement, texture flow, and unique technical influences. The pieces are gestural that emerges from boundaries between abstraction, impressionistic, fauvism, representationalism, some realism, but mostly expressionism. I can “feel” my art while in the creation phase. I stretch the visualizations and perceptions of shapes for the meaning and narrative truths. Application of the medium is used with many tools for blending and movement, to create a very physical process, resulting in a bold piece that captivates a range of colors, textures, color palette, and distinctive styling.
I’ve been painting, showing in galleries throughout southeastern AZ for nearly a decade. I’ve been learning more and more over the years, but primarily a self-taught artist. Honing my skills as a lover of art has been a long-time passion since my youth and flourishes after retirement as a nurse. My local Southwestern styling as well as my southeastern AZ home and local artists have been my major influence of my art’s styling and color palette. In my art world, the sky is the limit. If I like what I see, I'll try something new, just to explore and keep my art fresh. You'll usually be able to find my art in a gallery, just follow the color palette!
